Here’s How Our Program Works!

Step 1

Sign up for an initial appointment. During the initial appointment, you will be asked basic medical questions about your health and history with substances/behaviors. You will also be asked to complete a urine drug screen if your state mandates it. During the first appointment, you will also pay an initial one time enrollment fee of $50 (Total: $149).

Step 2

Attend your initial telemedicine appointment with a trained physician (MD/DO) where you will discuss your overall medical history and substance use history as well. During this first time evaluation, you may be prescribed medication to treat your current use disorders. If so, your medications will be sent to a pharmacy near you for your convenience.

Please note that other than buprenorphine products (Suboxone/Subutex), Kind Health does not prescribe any controlled substances (opioids, benzodiazepine/barbiturates, ADHD stimulants) at this time.

Step 3

Pick up your medication from the pharmacy and start taking the medication as prescribed by your physician. Depending on your condition you be asked to return in one week to one month. If any issues come up, please follow up sooner with your provider on Kind Health.

Step 4

Follow up with your physician on Kind Health after starting the medication. During this visit you will discuss your experience with the medication and how we can adjust your dosing if needed to give you better control of your cravings and symptoms. Although this encounter is free and included in your first appointment, you will be charged a booking fee for your next month, which will cost $99.

After the first one week follow up, you will be seen every month by your provider for a monthly cost of $99. This cost will cover the next months appointment as your previous month was covered by the last fee.

Understanding Medication for Opioid Use Disorder

Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for opioid use disorder is a comprehensive approach that combines medications with counseling and behavioral therapies to address substance use disorders. A key medication in this treatment is buprenorphine-naloxone HCL (Suboxone).

Suboxone helps manage withdrawal symptoms, reduce cravings, and alleviate pain, making it an effective option for treating addiction to various substances. Research also indicates its effectiveness for individuals struggling with addiction to Kratom and Tianeptine.
